CONCILIATION RESOURCES IS SAIPED PARTNER SINCE 2012
War shatters lives. It creates poverty and wastes billions every year. The people living in the midst of the violence often have the greatest insight into its causes. Yet they are often excluded from efforts to find a resolution.
Conciliation Resources is a peacebuilding NGO supporting people at the heart of conflicts who are striving to find solutions. We work with them to deepen our collective understanding of the conflict, bring together divided communities and create opportunities for them to resolve their differences peacefully.
We are there for as long as we’re needed to provide advice, support and practical resources. We then take what we learn to government decision-makers, and others working to end conflict, to improve peacebuilding policies and practice worldwide. - See more at: http://www.c-r.org/about#sthash.u0GaMScy.dpuf
Our programme work focuses on seven conflict-affected regions around the world and we take a further in-depth look at specific conflict contexts and peacebuilding themes through our Accord publication series. In addition, we work to improve global conflict policies, with a focus on the UK, EU and UN, and the regions in which we work. - See more at: http://www.c-r.org/about#sthash.u0GaMScy.dpuf
Making peace ultimately requires the firm commitment and extraordinary courage, on the part of all sides, to ensure a permanent end to violence. It also requires the determination and imagination of all parties to seek solutions, and build trust between communities who have been at loggerheads for decades.
